The measure "goes further than any other state" in holding a woman "criminally liable" for trying to end a pregnancy through illegal means. The measure imposes severe penalties for illegal abortion,it also narrows the definition of legal abortion in an attempt "to further restrict abortion."Missy Bird:"This creates a law that makes any pregnant woman who has a miscarriage potentially criminally liable for murder."
