Richard R Scott
Dr. Richard Scott, is President of the Center for Social Policy Research, examining the context of political events and issues to show their implications for social policy and the advancement of a progressive social agenda. Specifically, the Center is conducting research in political realignment and international politics, race relations, health policy, and policing and community relations.
Prior to being at the Center, Dr. Scott served as a Senior Analyst at the Government Accountability Office, concentrating on transportation issues, with a focus on aviation. Dr. Scott has conducted and overseen assessments of air traffic control system renovation, technology transfer in aviation and most recently, on the aerotropolis and airport city as spurs to community development. He is a member of the Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues and the American Evaluation Association.
Dr. Scott obtained an AB degree from Columbia University and a Ph.D. from Harvard University. He has served as faculty at the University of Florida and adjunct faculty at American University, and George Washington University.
