I've lived in Maryland and worked with race horses most of my life. As horse trading justly deserves its reputation, I have always been leery of the financial practices of the economic system. The first presidential election I was eligible to vote was 1980 and admired Bush senior for referring to Reagan's platform as voodoo economics and couldn't understand why he took the vice presidency. It's taken much of the thirty years since to appreciate just how delusional and illusionary the entire system really is.

My daughter is an honors student in school and determined to move up in the world. I can only hope society rises from the ashes in time.
