I am also a pragmatic Democratic partisan, and realize that when a Republican fist is constantly meeting my outstretched and open hand, then it is craven to make excuses for their overt action and nonproductive for me to crawl back into my shell.
Wars are not all fought with weapons. Some of the most influential wars are fought with those little undulating lines that when gathered in formation, form the battalions of words and sentences that hopefully will carry democracy to victory.
