After twelve years in the professor's chair Nita Micossi left the academic life 25 years ago in order to become a full time writer and journalist. If she'd known how much the health insurance premiums were she might have reconsidered. She's a feature writer for national and international publications, a specialist in business, technology, and social behavior, and, for the past ten years, a columnist for a newspaper in New York State. Her work has been included in the recently published anthology SOME DELIGHTS OF THE HUDSON VALLEY. Remembering how much she loved teaching, Dr. M returned to the classroom in 2001 where she offers college-level courses in Sociology to the guests of a men's maximum security prison in the Catskill Mountains.
