After working 15 years as a liberating teacher in high schools and colleges, I created a nonprofit TV show with my wife Claudia called "Public Voice Salon." The show, which I host, seeks to build community and strengthen democracy. It has a particular focus on education, the arts, and social change. We also like to nurture spiritual values like peace, love, and community with our show...along with the lost art of human conversation. (dialogue) I consider myself more a "teacher with a talk show" than a "media personality." I've also published 12 books on Amazon, along with essays in The Brooklyn Rail, New York Press, and Huffington Post.
