I was born in Ireland and raised in Canada and now teach in Peace Studies at the University of Maine in Orono. I teach courses on peace issues including: "Sacred Earth" which has to do with ecology and spirituality. For ten years I was involved with a homeless shelter, both as a volunteer and as a Director. I have written a number of Op Eds for Maine newspapers on homelessness and ethical issues.
