Saturday, October 15, 2016 Canada goes to war - pretending to keep the peaceSHARE
Canada's new friendlier Trudeau government is drawing upon U.S. military memes to rationalize its latest intentions to support the U.S. military empire. The discounted "right to protect" idea and the idiotic "fight them over there so we don't have to fight them here" meme are put forth as reasons why Canada is becoming 'pro-active'. In reality, Canada is simply a subordinate partner to U.S./NATO imperial ambitions, and Trudeau is using his charm to cover over the actual aggressive nature of the proposed actions.

Reading a work that would obviously be very pro-Israel sets up an anticipatory set of expectations and Michael Oren’s account of his term as Israeli ambassador to the U.S., Ally – My Journey Across the American-Israeli Divide, certainly met those expectations. Watch James Sinclair explain on Greg Hunter's USAWatchdog how Russia can affect the petrodollar.
On Russia countering Western sanctions, Sinclair says watch the “struggling dollar†and Russia accepting any currency for oil and natural gas. Sinclair explains, “It’s struggling . . . because it smells the real teeth of retaliation for sanctions being in the simple acceptance of any currency whatsoever for payment for gas to Europe. Believe me, they will settle in other currencies. . . . It makes energy cheaper. Why in the world would anyone want to pay in dollars if they can pay in their own currency?

Wednesday, May 11, 2011 Financial end to empire?SHARE
The US will be unable to maintain its preeminent role in the global order. The empire will wither. Is that such a bad thing? For those who think that "unitary global rule" is a failed experiment, the peaceful erosion of US power is the best possible outcome. The longer congress drags its feet, the better it is for everyone.
Wednesday, October 20, 2010 Canada denied UN seat - Yves EnglerSHARE
Canada, much to the chagrin of the almost ruling Conservative party, was denied a seat at the UN. In simple terms it is because of our similarity to the U.S. right wing ideologues - we are no longer a country that serves as a neutral interlocutor in global affairs.

In "the White Man's Burden" William Easterly rhetorically argues for free markets and capitalism, yet his examples have much more to do with popular democracy of the people (some call it socialism).
(1 comments) Wednesday, August 15, 2007 Between the Lines - Israel, Palestine, and the war on terrorSHARE
A review of a powerful book, developed from "Between the Lines" journal published during the al-Aqsa Intifada. "The mainstream discourse within Israel and abroad ignores the fact that Zionism, as the hegemonic ideology of the Israeli state and society, is constantly reproduced and sustained in the service of the Israeli-U.S. colonialist project, including the globalized economic interests that underlie it.”
