The Working Families Party won't release its membership's vote on who to
endorse for president - Bernie probably won... If you believe, as is obvious, that the reason WFP won’t release a
membership vote total this time is because Warren did not win the
membership vote, then this means Warren got anywhere from 22 to 40
percent of the member vote. This further means that 82 to 100 percent of
the WFP leadership voted for Warren.
Sunday, October 26, 2014 Confronting Battered Citizen SyndromeSHARE
State-sponsored terrorism poses a significant challenge to the psychological well-being of the body politic. While evident in many geopolitical locales, this condition arising from such government abuses is especially prevalent in the West. Such a disorder is comparable to the psychological manipulation recognized on a micro-level in some spousal relationships.
Indeed, the 13-year-old "war on terror" has contributed to a grave societal malady that might be deemed "battered citizen syndrome." As the project of a transnational New World Order is laid out, the psychological constitution of the polity must necessarily experience perpetual crises and the threat thereof. Genuinely non-conventional political communication, organization and activism are among the few substantial means of combating battered citizen syndrome and the spiritual and psychological slavery it perpetuates.
Monday, February 25, 2013 To Drone, or Not to Drone?SHARE
Decent folk don't need Dick Cheney to describe something as "a good policy" to know it's probably a bad idea. But just in case they missed the point the first time around, the former VP was on television last week to hammer it home for them.
In an interview with CBS This Morning, Cheney brushed aside calls for "checks and balances" against the Obama administration's controversial drone program.
"I think it's a good program," Cheney told the host. "I don't disagree with the basic policy that the Obama administration has pursued in that regard."

An outspoken critic of the war in Afghanistan claimed Friday that public anger over the conflict propelled him to a surprise victory in a special election for a seat in Britain's House of Commons. George Galloway, a leftist political maverick, won the Bradford West seat in northern England -- a district that includes a large Muslim community -- with a majority of more than 10,000 votes, as support for the country's mainstream lawmakers crumbled.
Wednesday, March 21, 2012 Report: Despite Moratorium on Torture, US sent some detainees to Afghan prisons known for tortureSHARE
Two human rights groups released a report Saturday stating that despite a moratorium on torture, certain elements within the U.S. military or intelligence community continue to send some detainees to Afghan prisons where torture by Afghani nationals is known to occur. The report by the Afghan Independent Human Rights Commission and the New York-based Open Society Institute suggests that Afghanistan's international allies still fail to ensure that people captured on the battlefield are treated humanely, despite a massive reform program in recent months.

Monday, August 22, 2011 Police arrest dozens protesting oil pipeline at White HouseSHARE
(Reuters) Authorities arrested dozens of people on Sunday protesting outside the White House against a proposed $7 billion oil pipeline they oppose for environmental reasons.
Park Police Sergeant David Schlosser said 45 activists were arrested on Sunday for "failure to obey lawful order." They were released after paying a fine, he told Reuters.
Sixty-five people were jailed on Saturday, some of whom were held overnight, Schlosser said.
Organizers of the sit-in expected arrests but said on their Tar Sands Action website that police had previously assured them protesters would be released the same day.
Protests against the Keystone XL pipeline project, which would bring oil sands petroleum from Canada to Texas refineries, are scheduled to continue for the next two weeks despite the arrests.

A cadre of young, idealistic Republican "fraud warriors" has been appointed at the DOJ, and there has been an exodus of career lawyers committed to civil rights from the DOJ voting section. Reshaping the DOJ to aggressively pursue voter fraud and deconstruct the DOJ dept. charged with protecting voter rights appears to be a two-pronged approach to manipulate the electoral process and ensure Repub advantage at the polls.

What many conservatives regard as the nightmare scenario, President Hillary, is increasingly seen by veteran Republican politicians and strategists as a virtual inevitability.
