Lance Ciepiela is a retired senior who had an interesting career in government service - a United States Marine Corps (USMC) Vietnam-Era veteran, who became interested in restoring the Constitution after I realized that W Bush had attacked Iraq on false pretense and got away with it. First thing I asked myself on 9/11 as the two planes smashed into the Twin Towers was - "where are the interceptors"? - this could not have been a terrorist attack with NORAD nowhere in sight to defend our skies not even at the Pentagon. My hope (Hope is a Great Source of Strength - Simon Murray) for restoring the Constitution is that Congress, the White House, and Justice Department, will get back to the "rule of law" by bringing W Bush to justice under our laws and treaties - and every Representative and Senator in Congress, and the President, would finally arrive at the "third stage" of accepting the truth about 9/11 = "knew it all along", was preset explosives and precisely timed demolitions going off in all three towers and was not the office fires or the two planes that brought the three towers down like the officials said.
Tuesday, November 15, 2022 Democrats Escaped a Midterm Thrashing - Here's How to Primary Biden AnywaySHARE
An aging president with poor polling presents an opportunity for 2024 challengers.
Democrats defied history and escaped a midterm beating. Yet as 2024 looms, many Democrats are still feeling anxious about their standing as they pore over the exit poll data.
"Biden, maybe? Are we back to Biden?" said an anxious character in Saturday Night Live’s spoof horror move trailer, “2020 Part 2: 2024.”
Fiction could soon become reality, since dislodging an incumbent president through the primary process is so daunting..

"Billionaires represent 0.000002% of the American population, but they're responsible for 7.4% of all political donations so far this cycle," according to Americans for Tax Fairness.
Money talks when it comes to influencing candidates and winning elections, and the loudest voices by far are billionaires..
(1 comments) Thursday, October 27, 2022 It is America's Obligation To Negotiate an End to The WarSHARE
As the war in Ukraine grinds on, and the world pays, and Ukrainians suffer, and die, the US has an obligation to end it.
Legal Obligation - Chapter VI, Article 33 of the United Nations Charter says that "The parties to any dispute, the continuance of which is likely to endanger the maintenance of international peace and security, shall, first of all, seek a solution by negotiation, enquiry, mediation, conciliation, arbitration, judicial settlement, resort to regional agencies or arrangements, or other peaceful means of their own choice."
The Security Council shall, when it deems necessary, call upon the parties, to settle their dispute by such means.
There is an urgent necessity to return to the negotiating table, and the US has the moral, legal, and political responsibility, to be the one to set the table..

Maybe I'm naive, and I'm certainly not a lawyer or legal expert, but if someone's stated goal is to overthrow the elected government of the United States and that someone is fomenting violence and threats of violence against those who don't want to overthrow the elected government of the United States, then it would be patriotic to arrest that person.
It would be patriotic to hold them without bail until trial so that they can't keep fanning the flames of rebellion, a rebellion that is based on lies that have been called lies by people across the political spectrum and by dozens of courts of law.
It is damn hard to escape the idea that Trump was hoping that members of Congress who opposed him would be killed..

The Federal Reserve has taken drastic measures in an attempt to curb inflation. But interest rate hikes carry tremendous downside and won’t address a key cause of recent inflation.
Instead of just relying on Fed officials, who have made it clear they will drive the economy into recession to get inflation down, policymakers should attack the problem head on in a way that protects working Americans.
Big corporations and the Republicans who enable them must be held accountable for their price gouging..
(2 comments) Thursday, October 13, 2022 How Private Interests and The Banking Dynasties Control WashingtonSHARE
Quite a number of Americans believe the Federal Reserve to be a government controlled banking institution, but this view is mistaken.
The Federal Reserve, as mentioned, is overseen by private interests, and America’s largest banks like Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan Chase, Bank of America, Citigroup, and Wells Fargo.
The strongest branch of the Federal Reserve is the New York Federal Reserve Bank, which fell under the control of 8 long established banking families. Only 4 of these dynasties hail from largely American backgrounds, which are Goldman Sachs, the Rockefellers, Lehman Brothers, and Kuhn Loeb. The other 4 are the Rothschilds in Paris and London, the Warburgs from Germany, the Lazards from France, and Israel Moses Sieff from Britain.
These families were still privately controlling the Federal Reserve into the 21st century..

On March 16, 2020, following a long weekend of negotiations and deals about the coronavirus, Donald Trump, Deborah Birx, and Anthony Fauci, spoke at a White House press conference for the first time about 'nationwide lockdowns'.
They handed out a sheet of paper – it mostly consisted of conventional health advice – that said in tiny print:
"bars, restaurants, food courts, gyms, and other indoor and outdoor venues where groups of people congregate SHOULD BE CLOSED".
Shut it all down. Everything. Everyone. As if the whole economy were a nightclub closing early.
This amounted to a full repudiation of not only the Constitution but also freedom itself..
(9 comments) Wednesday, September 28, 2022 Washington's Pointless War on Behalf of a Fake NationSHARE
Having destroyed Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Somalia, and sundry other places all on a great hegemonic lark, the professional warmongers of our land and their catamites in Washington made Ukraine their next special project.
They engineered the 2014 coup in Kiev that ousted the elected president, Mr Yanyukovich, to set up a giant grifting parlor and international money-laundromat.
The other strategic aim was to prepare Ukraine for NATO membership, which would have made it, in effect, a forward missile base right up against Russia's border. Because, well, Russia, Russia, Russia!..

As we trace the supplanting of the explosion hypothesis with the fire-induced collapse hypothesis, we witness the great shift toward what quickly became the Official Narrative.
We do not see our task as trying to discover whether the Official Narrative of 9/11 is true or false. In the 21 years since the attacks took place, it has been proven beyond all reasonable doubt, we believe, that the Official Narrative is false..

(1 comments) Thursday, September 8, 2022 Three Words That Describe the Russo-Ukrainian WarSHARE
There is a single word that is best suited to describe the position of Moscow, Washington, and Kyiv regarding the Russo-Ukrainian war – intractable.
Another term, however, must be used to explain the less enthusiastic attitudes of the European states. Their position seems to be one of resignation.
We don’t often hear much about what the rest of the world thinks concerning this conflict. Perhaps it’s best described as bewilderment..
(3 comments) Thursday, September 1, 2022 If Only We'd Listened - Mikhail GorbachevSHARE
Mikhail Gorbachev, who passed away on August 30, was a visionary, who first negotiated the end of the Cold War and then piloted the nearly bloodless internal closing of the Soviet Union.
But Gorbachev lacked whatever it takes to succeed in the world of politics. He lacked the political acumen to bring his visions to reality. In a world of politicians and officials who maneuver and deceive, Gorbachev was defeated.
He lacked the cynicism to joust with political figures like US Secretary of State James Baker who promised NATO would move not one inch to the east while simultaneously planning the massive movement of NATO right up to Russia’s borders..
(3 comments) Wednesday, August 24, 2022 The Western Narrative on Russia & ChinaSHARE
The relentless Western narrative that the West is noble while Russia and China are evil is simple minded and extraordinarily dangerous. It is an attempt to manipulate public opinion, not to deal with very real and pressing diplomacy.
At the core of all of this is the U.S. attempt to remain the world’s hegemonic power, by augmenting military alliances around the world to contain or defeat China and Russia. It’s a dangerous, delusional, and outmoded idea..
(1 comments) Thursday, August 18, 2022 American Hegemony and the Politics of ProvocationSHARE
American hegemony is now on life support. Intensive care specialists are still scurrying about trying to resuscitate the patient. Family and friends are saying he’s still putting up a fight.
However, the undertakers of this dying order have already arrived and are standing just outside the door - one is named Russia, and the other China.
When the obituary is read we will learn that the deceased is survived by an older cousin representing a different order – balance of power realism ..

Volodymyr Zelensky has been propped up with propaganda which paints him as the greatest president of our time, but Zelensky is perhaps the most failed leader in modern history.
He may legitimately be the underdog in this fight, and he may appear to be doing his best with the cards he’s been dealt, but Americans would be wise to question his words, because they are the words of a man willing to sacrifice his country to be in the spotlight ..

Powerful storm systems triggered flash flooding across the U.S. in late July, killing at least 25 people in eastern Kentucky as floodwater engulfed homes and set off mudslides.
Record rainfall also inundated St. Louis neighborhoods and another deluge in Nevada flooded the Las Vegas strip.
The impact of climate change on extreme water-related events like this is becoming increasingly evident. The storms in the U.S. followed extreme flooding this summer in India and Australia, and last year in Western Europe ..
(1 comments) Friday, July 15, 2022 Vicarious Zeal - Fighting to the Last UkrainianSHARE
As the bloody conflict in Ukraine continues, the rhetoric from the imperial spear-holders in Washington and some allies is becoming increasingly fixated with one object - victory against Russia.
When the term - “unconditional surrender” - was first used by US President Franklin D. Roosevelt at the January 1943 Casablanca conference in the context of defeating Nazi Germany, not all cheered.
It meant a fight to the finish, climbing the summit, and dictating terms from a blood-soaked peak..

So we humans have a dilemma of our own making. Or rather of the making of our economic-political system, aka capitalism. We burned too much oil, coal and gas, it overheated the planet, but we can’t seem to stop.
For instance, currently 90 percent of the American west withers in drought. Lake Mead dried into a mucky shadow of its former self. Rain and snowpack vanished and may not be coming back..
(1 comments) Saturday, July 2, 2022 Ukraine Is the Latest Neocon DisasterSHARE
Since the 1950s, the U.S. has been stymied or defeated in nearly every regional conflict in which it has participated. Yet in the “battle for Ukraine,” the neocons were ready to provoke a military confrontation with Russia by expanding NATO over Russia’s vehement objections because they fervently believe that Russia will be defeated by U.S. financial sanctions and NATO weaponry..
(1 comments) Monday, June 27, 2022 The Biden Problem and the Midterm ElectionsSHARE
To win the midterm elections, Democrats must address the problem of President Biden’s poor approval ranking with voters. The public’s support of a candidate for office is based on their perception of their personality and competence.
If a recession and growing inflation continue to dominate the media, Biden will be blamed no matter what he does. But, as the president, the buck stops with him. That means the Democrats must graciously acknowledge his leadership and present a new, more vibrant message, for their campaigns this November..
(1 comments) Thursday, June 23, 2022 The Geopolitics of the New Cold WarSHARE
From his first days in office, Joe Biden and his national security advisers seemed determined to revive America’s fading global leadership via the strategy they knew best — challenging the “revisionist powers” Russia and China with a Cold War-style aggressiveness.
Just as the Soviet Union once armed North Vietnam with surface-to-air missiles and tanks to bloody the U.S. military, so Washington now began supplying Kyiv with high-tech weaponry to damage the Russian army..
