Marilyn LaCourt is the author of two novels, "The Prize" and "The Almost Brother"
For several years she wrote a collumn in a community newspaper that was distributed to virtually all the suburbs of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
She has a master's degree in Communication, was a clinical supervisor for American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists and a Certified Independent Clinical Social Worker. She developed a Bully Prevention Program and did a pilot study of the program at an inner city public school in Milwaukee with positive anecdotal responses. Her first novel, "The Prize", a novel about bullies and victims and what drives them is based on that program, and was praised by educators from coast to coast, many of whom used the book to promote discussions about the bully problem with their students.
