Now in my 80th year I can reflect that music has been my friend and companion when all else seemed lost.It all started in 1942 when I joined the choir of St John the Baptist Roman Catholic Choir with my voice being trained by Father Antony Roberts a brilliant musician.This continued until I joined the R A F in 1951 until1953.Very soon I discovered Jazz and Blues through Black Anna and The Jolly Buthchers Pub in Ber St Norwich.I formed the very first Skiifle group there,and after a while I got the hang of a few jazz chords to then become Anns singing partner for many years.Then with my Brother Tony we created the Jacquard Club a once a week in a pub affair promoting folk and blues etc,then it was to new premises owning the freehold of a closed pub,to provide a seven days a week licenced venue.This eventually closed and ever since,up to this day I still perform Jazz and Blues.In between all of this I had regular jobs A Tailoring Salesman.A Carpet Salesman,An Advertising Excecutive,An Advertising Agency Creative Director,A Marketing Director But music has been ALL
