I am a 68 year old woman, mother, grandmother, Unitarian Universalist and all around sceptic. I am still a working girl and spend a great deal of time volunteering at my UU Congregation. I do think that our democracy is under attack by a world system that is destroying much of what is good about the world. This system is faceless and borderless and cares not for the future of our young. We must do civil disobedience to help correct this situation. It is the only way I can sleep knowing we as a nation seem to be unaware of how insidious this new world wealth is and the lengths they will go to hold on to as much of our hard earned money as possible. It is urgent that we all become actors on this stage and slow this down as much as we can. Our children are depending on us to act. We must do so with honor and a growing awareness of it's necessity. We have to start with a clear understanding of our own involvement in this enterprise. We are all guilty of being involved. We have to work and most work in some job that helps this system to stay afloat. So be it. We can still act and do so courageously. Time is wasting. Lets get started.
