Born in Montreal in 1940. Graduated from Loyola of Montreal in 1961 (Engineering Physics). Married Anne Hutton in 1968. Two children: Michael (1969) and Jennifer (1971). Moved to British Columbia in 1970. Awarded M.A. in Psychology from Simon Fraser University in 1974 and Ph.D. from Simon Fraser University in 1983. Worked in the Department of Psychology at Riverview Hospital in Port Coquitlam, British Columbia from 1970 to 2002 and taught at Simon Fraser University from 1988 to 2007.
