I am an African American of Rwandan origin stronly committed to human rights across the African Great Lakes region and beyond. I strongly believe that spreading the untold truth about the ongoing crisis in the African Great Lakes region, no matter how unpleasant it might sound to many people, will surely lead my people currently living in the Great Lakes Region of Africa to a better future in a timely manner. I am a rare voice of the voiceless people currently living in Rwanda and in DRC. My crucial duties consist in raising awareness about current political deadlock in Rwanda and its tragic consequences to the Rwandan people and the Congolese people as well. My deepest aspiration for the region is a peaceful Rwanda where the rule of law, democracy, equal opportunity, social justice and the respect of human rights are a reality for every Rwandan citizen; a society where human differences are valued and celebrated as a source of strength rather than a cause for self destruction; a peaceful change from militarism and violence to a country at peace not only with itself but also at peace with her neighbors.
