What keeps me sane (in the eyes of others?) is my enjoyment of conversation at these happenings, at work, on the street... of which I have many opportunities as I do a lot of walking (and biking too) as well as running - confront a wider world that way! Racing (foot racing) is a means for social involvement too, though I readily admit that it nourishes more the organism, extroverted and otherwise.
I have lived in Ithaca, NY for most of the past almost-thirty years, working a variety of careers mostly in human services. Presently I work as an RN.
