SHARE More Sharing
The 2009 Iranian presidential election is next week on June 10th. Ahmadinejad is running against former Prime Minister Mir-Hossein Mousavi. Mousavi has a slight lead although Iranian polls aren't well respected globally. Mousavi isn't exactly pro-western but he is definitely a more stable personality as opposed to Ahmadinejad, who we all know as an Anti-Western Holocaust denying fruit cake. Obama's speech in Egypt is a clear effort to let Modern Iranian Citizens know that the U.S. and the rest of the West will work with a rational leader such as Mousavi if he is elected.
