I am a 63 year old woman with stage 3 kidney disease. I live with my cat, Huckleberry. I enjoy sitting in my shade garden and meditating, nam myo ho renge kyo, yes, I am a Soka Gakka Buddhist. I have 9 grandchildren and 3 living children, my oldest child, Robbyn, died at 22 with a brain tumor. It was here suffering and death that intorduced me to Buddhism. Even with my disability I am a political activist. Eventhough I cannot walk or stand for long periods, I occasionally paint my car and drive up and down main street and park at busy locations to get the message out. I consider myself a social democrat progressive.
