Ron Fisher, honors graduate of the Naval Academy, Master's Degree in business management, graduate of the Industrial College of the Armed Forces (ICAF) and retired Navy Captain. Served in destroyer nuclear attack and ballistic missile submarines. Last half of naval career worked as a project manager and engineer in shipyards on refueling overhauls of nuclear submarines and worldwide submarine repairs and in various logistics jobs in the Washington DC area including as Director of the Naval Sea System Command Division that managed the work-loading of Shipyards, scheduling of ship overhauls and conducting pre-award survey for new construction ships. Served as a UCMJ Trial Counsel (prosecutor), Defense Counsel and as a Summary Court Martial as collateral duties during his early years in the Navy. Awards include the Legion of Merit. Post Navy career includes working for two defense contractor and founding and managing a very successful non-profit fire safety and survivability organization described at www.dfpa.org and a service-disabled veteran-owned small business described at www.VetsSS.org both of which received government contracts Ron says the last submarine I served on could have single-highhandedly destroyed over a hundred bases or medium size cities and killed millions of civilians in a very few minutes from thousands of miles away. At the time, I never thought or talked to anyone about the deaths, maiming and destruction that our submarine would have caused. Happily, we never had to fire those missiles with real warheads on them. I now realize how horribly wrong, immoral and illegal all wars, occupations, empire building and offensive weapons especially nuclear are." "I am now firmly convinced that many others will come to understand this also and we will rapidly phase out all offensive weapons systems - nuclear weapons, submarines, armed drones and nuclear power and permanently get rid of poverty and wars.
