Since taking the buyout from the Oregonian Publishing Company in 2008 after 30+ years with the company I have remarried, become active in researching politically hot topics that are not covered in the news and finding areas that not too many people are working on now. What I have found are two very controversial problems in society.
One is the 9/11 and the tragic horror of watching this as it unfolded on television and the criminal way the investigation was handled and much of the forensic evidence was sent to China to be destroyed.
The other issue is the sex offender laws and how broad, unfair, and destructive they are to a persons life for ever and many times on situations that should never be criminalized, but rather look toward education and counseling problem and an understanding that young people have had a percentage that have had sex since the beginning of time.
