Sickening Hypocrisy: the CIA's Dirty War in Iran The assassination and martyrdom of Neda Soltani in Tehran bears the hallmarks of CIA black-ops. The similarities between events in Venezuela in 2002 and Tehran today are too striking to be mere coincidence. Ahmadinejad has been demonized since his last landslide election victory. He is too much of a threat to US hegemony to be allowed a repeat victory and so has been deemed surplus to requirements by the CIA.
