Peter Goldmark's a life-long Eastern Washington wheat grower and molecular biologist and the Democratic Candidate for Washington's Fifth US Congressional District. He's battling one-term incumbent, Republican Cathy McMorris, and his poll numbers have soared thirteen points in three weeks, so he only trails McMorris by seven points. The Democratic Central Campaign Committee just named Goldmark's an emerging race for a win in November, McMorris was overheard saying the race was surprisingly tough and the GOP has just issued urgent appeals for money for McMorris.

Here are the basic truths: A debt/deficit is a tax. It's not the death tax that's the problem, it's the life taxes. Free trade isn't Free. So, Republicans who raise deficits are just hiding their taxes for the next generations to pay.
