Originally from Ohio, Joanne has lived and worked in the Washington area for 30 years, graduating from George Washington University National Law Center. As an undergraduate, she studied the United Nations System in Geneva, Switzerland. Joanne later worked for Senator Charles Grassley under his chairmanship of the Senate Special Committee on Aging. Recently, she has served as a lobbyist for Atlantic Biomass Conversions, Inc., and as pro bono executive director of Advanced Biofuels USA, Inc., promoting greater understanding of truly sustainable, renewable advanced biofuels research, production and use.
