I am a historian and a political analyst, holding a doctor philos degree in History of Ideas from the University of Oslo. My first book Development of the Concept and Theory of Alienation in Marx's Writings was published in 1995 and my recent book Perceptions of Islam in the Christendoms: A Historical Survey was published in 2006. Over the last four decades I have written numerous articles on international affairs and the issues of human rights.
I was born in Poonch (Kashmir) and now I live in Norway. I am a peace activist. I oppose war and violence and am a firm believer in the peaceful co-existence of all nations and peoples. In my academic work I have tried to espouse the cause of the weak and the oppressed in a world dominated by power politics, misleading propaganda and violations of basic human rights. I also believe that all conscious members of society have a moral duty to stand for and further the cause of peace and human rights throughout the world.
