A well traveled and slightly worse for wear 72 year old Englishman; widower, several children and grandchildren and a penchant for wondering 'what is the hidden agenda' in almost everything I read. A keen interest in American culture (an oxymoron?) (JOKE!) and politics and an international world view, except where I haven't got first hand experience of the parts of the world I have not visited. Editor of some books about the Qur'an and Islam. Teacher of English in little known countries like Mauritania, Istanbul, Turkey and Morocco.

Do Not cry for the Children of Gaza... Do not cry for the survivors of the Gazan Massacre who have no water and no electricity and have lost 4000 houses in Gaza – they have no right to be there. They are an embarrassment to the Israelis and the international community. Why don't they just pack up and leave!

What happened to the anti war movement of the 1960's? Written in 1973, - the predictions of this man are frighteningly accurate. And remember this was before the rise of the Neocons, before the 'axis of evil' doctrine pushed by them to 'pre-emptive war 'in seven countries outlined in their documents blatantly published for all to see. The current propaganda is in full swing for an attack on Iran, with the same lies as when Saddam was supposed to have WMDS ready in 45 minutes.

When will you be able to get information ONLY from Fox News and CNN? When the bombs drop on the nuclear facilities in Iran. Imagine, you log on to OPEDNews, your computer goes blank and you cannot connect to the Internet. Where will you find out what is happening? Will you try to reload your operating system? And during the time it takes to reload, several hundred bunker busting bombs and missiles have devastated large areas of Iran. Can you find out what is going on? Short answer–you can't.

Disinformation on all sides how many of us 'awake' Internet bloggers carry around our own prejudices about our own countries and races? "The sun never sets on the British Empire" used to be said with pride when I was a boy – and the beginning of the trouble with Iran started back in the 50's; British oil companies lost their monopoly of Iran's oil, when it was nationalized. The democratic government of Iran was overthrown by the CIA; enter the Shah.

Frightened and Demoralized - by Design? This "climate of fear" is being constantly raised and the MSM is full of threatening op-eds about war with Iran, questions about medical drugs being unsafe, GM foods being foisted everywhere as a "solution" to the food crisis, WWIII, police states legislation, arrests of protesters, all this produces in many people a sense of impending doom. Is this by design? If that is the case, what is the result they want?

AIPAC's 'news' Reporting of Interview with ElBaradei. "If Iran wants to turn to the production of nuclear weapons, it must leave the NPT, expel the IAEA inspectors, then it would need at least - Considering the number of centrifuges and the quantity of uranium Iran has" "How much time would it need?" "It would need at least six months to one year. Therefore, Iran will not be able to reach the point where we would wake up one morning to Iran with a nuclear weapon.

Disinformation Alert! think about the effect of having a conspiracy nut, a Holocaust denier, and crop circle, neo Nazi being interviewed about the July 7th bombing. Do you think that the millions (potentially) that will see this programme will come to the conclusion that all of us are nuts?

Why the Pentagon has not shut down the Internet Yet. Why haven't the Pentagon not shut it down the Internet? After all it is full of anti war, anti AIPAC, anti Israel, anti this and anti that people, and they are gathering momentum by sharing information that could lead to upsetting the applecart of the Military/Industrial/Complex, or do they feel secure and that we few will never have the power to unseat them?

I am incensed! I am angry! The ruling class, the elite, the money bankers, our elected representatives, call them what you will; they live in a bubble, secure in the knowledge that the common folk will sit down and shut up and turn on the TV.

We can yet win... In the Vietnam era, the media were the last to come onto the side of the antiwar demonstrations and before there were thousands on the streets the media followed the government line praising the war and the hope of winning it, just like today.

What is the cause of the word-wide rise in oil and food prices? Morgan Stanley predicts $150 a barrel by July 4th. What is going on here? Why are speculators, who lost billions in the last fiasco of sub prime mortgages racket, being allowed to drive up oil and food prices into another bubble? Where the hell are the regulators? Oh that's right, oversight has been whittled away, at least in America by pressure from these same 'bankers', with a capital 'W' on Congress.

What is our Objective in Writing Articles? Some thought on our objectives in writing articles. What do we want to achieve? What constitutes success in achieving our goals? Will we ever achieve them?

Divide and Rule... 'They' are very clever and have the media in their pocket. We the people must be as clever and unite, communicate. We have the internet for as long as we can keep it. We must use it.

Are you a coward like me? Are you prepared to stand up to the forces that are driving the two wars and perhaps a third? Can you honestly say that you are doing everything in your power to counter the influence of the Neocons?
