After going through senate hearings where he refused to cooperate and answer questions, where Bush refused to release records of his track record of his work during his years working for Bush senior, Roberts must be rejected. The Democrats are now in a stronger position than ever since the 2004 stolen election.

New polls show there is more discontent with republicans than there has been in many years. It is time for a major blitz of all senators, including republican senators, time to send them a message that their jobs are on the line with this Roberts nomination, that the country cannot afford to have him in the supreme court.

Bush is at his weakest and most vulnerable state ever. Republicans are seeing polls showing their support among independent crashing. Now is the time to use this weakness to protect the supreme court. On the other hand. It is also time to tell weak, centrist democrats that a vote for Roberts will be a nail in their political coffin, that you will help raise funds to support candidates in their next democratic primary to run against them. And that's what must happen. Because the US has only very limited access to instant run-off voting, we don't have the luxury of running third party candidates with a decent chance of winning. The Democratic party has become infiltrated with republican leaning, weak centrist democrats who too often support corporatist and right wing agendas. This has to stop. These sell-outs, just degrees less than ultimate slime Zell Miller, are the reasons Democrats are out of power.

It is essential that we take action during the current situation, in which the nation's rising consciousness of the right wing Republican extremists failure to protect the nation, worse, that their policies and philosophies have damaged the nation and cost it hundreds of billions. We must reject Roberts, at least until he answers questions and Bush releases the material he has refused thus far to disclose. The answer to the question, "what if the republicans win the 2008 presidential election?" is so horrendous. But if they put Roberts in as chief justice of the supreme court, even if the republicans are thrown out of the white house, it may come to naught, since he will be able to protect them from lawful retribution and he will allow corporations to get away with murder in the courts.

Roberts is the line in the sand that the centrist democrats must never cross.
