Spending Money To Make Money

By       (Page 1 of 1 pages)   No comments

The other day I was listening to the radio and heard Barack Obama refer to reporters’ questions about the failing economy in saying that America will have to spend money to make money. This of course is referring to his multibillion-dollar stimulus package and the billions it will take to create the millions of new jobs he proposes.

I was surprised at myself in agreeing with him, but in order to get out of the financial mess we are in it will take spending this kind of money to get out of the deep deficit hole we find ourselves in.

This solution by Obama is a prime example of his bottom up effect on the economy by enabling the average working American to spend money and have the necessary jobs to make the money and boost the economy upward to good health.

Since Obama will carry out this proposal it means that both the top money making people, corporations in this country and the people making the least amount of money will have benefited from the Government's massive multi trillion dollar bailout. George W. Bush took care of the individuals and corporations at the top.

The U.S. Government has been operating from a monetary deficit for the last 6 years, which means that all it has spent over that time it has had to print the currency to do so. This deficit appeared because of the Bush Administration's total lack of attention of corruption taking place on Wall Street. Of course, this is expected since many of them benefited individually from it.

Aside from the multibillion-dollar hemorrhage on our country, Bush caused in starting and maintaining the Iraq War The Bush Administration also benefited personally as well from the private companies directly owned by them. Dick Cheney’s Brown and Root is a fully owned subsidy of Halliburton, which denied any foreign companies involvement in Iraq's reconstruction.

The Iraq War is one of the first wars where U.N. Peace keepers were not allowed and the first to be helped in rebuilding its infrastructure by essentially one company. In accomplishing this, President Bush and Vice President Cheney profited massively by becoming the monopoly over all of Iraq's Treasury and crude oil transactions.

George W. Bush and Dick Cheney along with other Wall Street scammers who made billions off the American Peoples investments and leaving them in a financial ditch will retire in luxury and eat from silver platters with golden silverware while “We The People " are close to dining on cat food.
