Actor Sean Connery has passed away quietly in his home in the Bahamas. He gained fame as the iconic, probably the most iconic James Bond leading man in the James Bond series.

But Connery continued to grow into many roles in superb movies. Some of my favorites included The Name of the Rose (1986),The Untouchables (1988), The Presidio (1988), Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989), The Hunt for Red October (1990), Medicine Man (1992) Dragonheart (1996), The Rock (1996), and Finding Forrester (2000), The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen (2003.)

It's no wonder that Connery was , as Wikipedia reports, "Connery was polled in a 2004 The Sunday Herald as "The Greatest Living Scot"[3] and in a 2011 EuroMillions survey as "Scotland's Greatest Living National Treasure".[4] He was voted by People magazine as both the "Sexiest Man Alive" in 1989 and the "Sexiest Man of the Century" in 1999."

It's hard for me to say which were my Connery favorites-- Finding Forrester, Indiana Jones, Medicine Man, The Name of the Rose... How about you?
