Stop it! I expected no better from the right wing--but the so-called left has been the most heartbreakingly deceitful. "I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take this anymore!"
The facts:
--Osama Bin Laden was a valued CIA asset, used in the campaign against the Russians in Afghanistan in the "80's.
--In 2001 he was seriously ill with kidney failure and needing dialysis. He died in December 2001.
--Al Qaeda is a collection of CIA assets, some real, some virtual, that are brought forward to support CIA black ops, including false flag operations.
--The USA and its allies wish to establish impregnable hegemony in the middle east for economic, geopolitical, and geological reasons. I.e. To establish a stronghold with allied dictatorships throughout the crescent of countries from Turkey to India and, a. control their natural resources such as oil and poppies, b. feed the gaping maw of the military-industrial complex and its greedy corporations and stockholders, and c. prevent and/or counter any expansion or alliance movement by China, and secondarily, ex-Soviet players.
What we are hearing from both left and right are lies. Lies upon lies upon lies. Ret-conning and conning. Smoke and mirrors keep the "unwashed masses" celebrating in bacchanalian ecstasy or roiling in obsessive discussions about details of operations that were created from whole cloth and stitched together with disinformation.
The Way It Could Be:
High tariffs help American innovation and know-how remain in the US. Regulated industries and CEO's with earnings caps and steeply progressive taxes build factories, create jobs, and produce products of necessity and leisure here at home. Everyone in the US is born with the right to high quality health care; a safe roof over his or her head, healthy food; strong education that includes the development of critical thinking and media literacy skills; a reasonable 40 hour a week job with 4 weeks paid vacation and sick leave each year; a path to secure retirement at age 60 and above; and care and support in case of disability. For profit enterprises are reserved for those areas that do not fall in these categories of "basic human needs". Taxes are progressive, and, for those earning more from entrepreneurial ventures that are not critical to human life (e.g entertainment, cosmetics, luxury anything), steep. On the other hand, no one is starving or homeless. Yes, there is a military--men and women who volunteer to serve as a "national guard" to protect our borders. Wars and battles overseas are not of our concern--when we stop instigating or promoting these wars, we can discuss our possible participation when necessary in humanitarian initiatives and rescue ventures. Will our shores be attacked--perhaps not if such an attack (real or fiction) would not succeed in drawing us into a global conflict. (Surely we have enough nuclear weapons, etc," to neutralize any potential attempters.) Life would be gentler, kinder, more moderate, and less treacherously frenzied. We would draw our passions from the intellect and the affection, not the gladiators' arena and sadists' psychopathy.
The Way It Is:
The Powers That Be control both parties of Congress, both "wings" of the media, and the economic structure and function of the US. The agenda for these "controllers" is to consolidate and maintain power and resources within their cabal. Many are sociopaths; others are Dante-esque prisoners, having sold their souls for admission to this fraternity, aware that the penalty for heresy or apostasy is death.
How these cronies laugh as they praise themselves for their Machiavellian skills, for keeping the unwashed masses embroiled in brutal competitions for survival in a swamp of philosophical civil wars; and for valuing their own intelligence, entitlement and skills far above those of the masses they objectify to more easily indenture, enslave, or murder in the name of enlightenment. They are different from us only in their sociopathy, in their ability to divorce themselves from ethics and empathy, and assuage any remnants of their consciences with the canards that they know best, they are helping us, and that they care.
Rachel, Thom, Michael, Arianna, Keith, Randi, Chris, Richard, Ed, let's all applaud your "good intentions" in using this latest psy-op with resurrected asset Osama to bolster the case for more military actions and the numbers of the Puppet President in his quest for reelection. The President has reneged on all his campaign promises and on his platform; I have no doubt that the new boss in 2012, be it Newt, or Mitt, or Jeb, or even Obama, will only continue this devolution of our former democracy and our march to oligarchic feudalism. I expected Rush, Glenn, and Sean to be in step with that army. I am furious that you all have chosen the strategy of capitulation and appeasement. The Powers That Be will likely continue to reward you for your choice. I can only condemn you. Loudly.
