To test new drugs, some pharmaceutical companies use harmless pills which have no affect on people (water tablets or sugar pills). This helps the drug companies identify the affects of the actual drugs. Similarly, some doctors prescribe these pills to people who have drug addictions or tendencies of being a hypochondriac. The goal is to give these people the confidence they need to overcome their issues without taking actual drugs. These pills are call placebo's.
In today's politics, one can easily draw a conclusion that Trump is the GOP placebo. His stance on issues have no basis in logic and in most cases appears ridiculous. His name calling of some politicians only positions them as the victims. While watching the 2nd debate on Wednesday, it appeared that he was giving Jeb and Carly the opportunity to shine. If you looked at his facial response immediately after each rebuttal...it showed his approval of their response to his previous attacks (as oppose to being on the offense).
Remember, unlike placebo's that are harmless, the real pills of the past or past ideology can be lethal to the American middle class and those that are struggling.
Could Trump be the placebo the GOP needed, since the politicians don't have the confidence to stand on the GOP accomplishments and their ideology?
Ask yourself what is worse...a placebo that pretends to be something it isn't or pills (politicians) that have many side affects that impact the Middle Class and those that are struggling?
The choice is yours...
