Goldman Sachs has hired Gregory Craig, Barack Obama's former White House counsel, to assist it on political and legal matters, Politico reports.
Craig, it's been theorized, resigned because he was not pliable enough for the Obama White House.
Wikipedia reports, " CNN cites that he (Craig) is being forced out because of his role in advising
Obama to close Guantanamo Bay by January 2010, a task that cannot be
achieved. Greg Craig is currently a partner in the Washington, DC office of
Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, LLP, one of the largest law
firms in the United States."
