The Vesica Pisces fish symbol has been used for millennia as a religious symbol associated with the Pagan Great Mother goddess. It is the outline of her vulva. The fish symbol was often drawn by overlapping two very thin crescent moons known as the Vesica Pisces as the Moon is associated with the goddess' menstrual cycle. If this is so why do we eat fish freys on Friday?

Fish gods like Vishnu were married to Lakshmi, Saraswati, and Ganga( mermaids associated with Fish. The miter on the head of the goddess Cybele and the striking similarity to the fish head of Oannes. The Pope's miter is derived directly from the miters of the ancient pagan fish-god Dagon and the goddess Cybele. The papal miter represents the head of Dagon with an open mouth, which is the reason for the pointed shape and split top. Cybele was worshipped in Rome and was also called the "Magna Mater which evolved into Catholic Mariology. Some say the priesthood of Cybele was composed of castrated males, which is probably why priests are celibate. The ruins of a temple to Cybele / Magna Mater can still be seen today in Rome on Palatine hill.

Did you ever wonder why practicing Catholics abstain from eating fish on all days except Friday? It is not because of the phonetics of Fry-Day for Italians call in Venerdi, Venus 'Day. In Greece the Greek word "delphos" meant both fish and womb. The word is derived from the ancient Oracle at Delphi who worshipped the original fish goddess, Themis and the later fish Goddess, Aphrodite Salacia on her sacred day, Friday.. From her name comes "salacious" which means lustful. According to Hesiod's Theogony, Aphrodite is born in sea-foam from the castrated genitals of the sky-god Ouranos. Coincidently Aphrodite is the root of April.

The fish symbol "was so revered throughout the Roman empire that pagan Christians revised the goddess's myths without the sexual component. Sometimes the Christ was portrayed inside the Vesical Pisces, which obviously represented a vulva. There were Fish goddess's all over the world: In China, Kwan-yin often portrayed in the shape of a fish. In India, the goddess Kali was called the "fish-eyed one."In Egypt, Isis was called the Great Fish of the Abyss. In the Middle East, Ephesus was portrayed as a woman with a fish amulet over her genitals. In Scandinavia, the goddess was named Freya; fish were eaten in her honor. The 6th day of the week was named "Friday" after her.

Frigga or Freya, the Norse Lilith, is wife of Odin and like Hestia was the goddess of the Vestal Virgins who gave starfire (sacred blood) to the kings. Freya represents the Stregoi or female Stregoica, Strega (witch) is the Italian for either a wolf or a dragon.. Friday, in honor of Freya or Friga, the Germanic virgin goddess; and ... As we shall see later on, the fish has a shape which reminds of the vulva or yoni ... was originally the day of Venus, as it still is in Italian and French, ... Venus' Day was the day of life not death, when fish was ... Dagon, the fish-god of the Philistines and Babylonians, wore a fish hat that is still seen today with Roman Catholic Church's pope and bishops.

Freya like all dragon goddesses had the power to see clearly( siddhe powers}. Freya represents a Dragon Queen who empowers the Grail King with her sacred blood; Odin could not be a king without her being the real power. The right to kingship originates with Tiamat who had given the Tablets of Destiny to her consort Kingu to overthrow Marduk. Similarly Freya's powers launched the war between the Æsir and the Vanir. The responsibility of Dragon kings and queens was to maintain a spiritually transcendent wisdom within the realm.
