Imprisonment without justification and torture because we can. Placing the guy who approved torture in the attorney general's office; nominating the architect of total world domination as president of the World Bank; assigning a person who advocates the disembowelment of the U.N. as ambassador to that very body.
Meanwhile, a Republican-controlled regime and Congress that is doing absolutely nothing to even try fixing any domestic problems - other than destroy the Social Security System with yet another harebrained scam favorable only to the wealthiest among us.
Approximately 70 years ago a similar chain of events took place in Europe. I won't mention any names or the country, but if you're reading this then you're capable of making the correlation.
You should, too.
A note to you handful of well-intentioned people intent upon ramming your personal interpretation of Christianity and God's will down the throats of the court system, our bodies of legislature, the hospice, and the rest of America, and most importantly Terri Schiavo: It's about time you started acting like Christians, get out of that family's business, and start praying for either her recovery or for the Almighty to do as He sees fit. I seem to remember that approach as more in keeping with the essence of Jesus' teachings.
To the couple whose actions resulted in the arrests of their four children, ages 3 through 14, at the hospice: Please seek professional help. It was thoroughly disgusting to see your youngsters (10-14) being handcuffed and placed in a squad car live on international television. You proved nothing. Whatever your belief or intent, this was a traumatic occurrence in their young lives. You most certainly will not find this sort of practice endorsed in a book on quality parenting.
As of this writing, Terri Schiavo is still alive. Whatever the outcome, God be with her.
