So, off into the wild blue yonder went the Prez in Air Force One to be awakened from his sleep in the middle of the night and sign the bill in his robe in a White House hallway. What drama.
Just how much did this Sunday consortium in D.C. cost us taxpayers?
There was no way they were going to let this opportunity to commandeer the nation's news media and attention slip away. The Republican leadership needed some sort of diversion away from all the screw-ups and disasters of the past four years.
The Terri Schiavo situation is not all that unique or unusual. So why make a Federal case out of it? Simple: Florida and Jeb Bush. It's time to start setting up the next brother for the continuation of the Bush dynasty. Eight more years.
