There is remorse for the passing of other better ideas and worlds to live in. Unfulfilled political promises offering an egalitarian society. Today we experience life as a social struggle of people but churned within the voluminous tide of capital. Money before life. Credit to live. The ultimate ascendancy of numbers.

It is either unfortunate or significant, probably both, that politicians and journalists are heaping praise upon Margaret Thatcher for her role in shaping the concept of privatisation. With time it became clear that Churchill was wrong about India, the Gold Standard, about the right of labour. Didn't have a clue. The truth lay in other people's grasp although its didn't stop historians focusing on absolute greatness. Truth is often more telling and here today, on this subject, Thatcher deserves no more than a whispered credit in this arena. And for those people who disagree, I guess the power brokers would simply turn around and say:

'Hey. Don't take it personally. It's just business.'
