[5] Radionuclides are trace elements that come from radioactive decay of uranium-238 (U-238) and thorium-232 (Th-232).   The most common radionuclides, ions of decay of U-238 and Th-232, are radon-222, radium-226, radium-238, uranium-238, and uranium-234.   This article concentrates on radon, the only one for which information on its connection with natural gas is to be found.
