Distract, deflect and deny the defeat of opposing the war in Iraq. National partisan politics is just that simple. Meanwhile, the Democratic Party’s base is being deliberately misled yet again so that the party leaders can get votes at the expense of a nation unified on a matter of national security.
There was a time when men of honor and integrity would debate, but would seek to unite in a time of war-rather than deliberately divide as Democrats have been doing since the fall of 2001 when Senators Kennedy, Daschle and others protested against the invasion of Afghanistan in favor of “talks” with the political arm of Al Qaeda, The Taliban.
