but the palestinian are living there in relative peace most of the time. thousands more palestinian died in conflicts in other 'arab wars' than ever died by israelies. Israelies do not want to kill palestinians. they try very hard, but sometimes it's not possible to avoide.

i.e the IDF was severely criticized this week by left wingers for sending a palestinian man to knock of the door of a hamas militant. ( before they send him they dressed him up in bullet proof jacket...) of course, as soon as he knocked on the door, he was showered with bullets, and died.

so, why IDF is criticized ?

would you like to go to that house and arrest a hamas millitant ? if yes - do it !
do i want to go ? no no no, i want to lay on the beach and look at the chicks.
nobody wants to go !!! but it's got to be done, because i cannot let these people ( hamas and sorts ) determined the political outcome in the middle east. ( one taliban was enough )

so, while the 'debate' is taking place, everybody so easily forgets that it's simply a murder to shoot at man because he knock on your door. what the hell is that!!! and if it's dangerous to look for militants, why should i risk my life. i think it's a good idea to send their own people to look for them. kill each other if you like. don't mess with me.

i.e If it was the US army, they would blow that house down long long ago. russian army ? german army ? french army ? syrian army ?......................we have seen them all.

Mr leon, i read a lot of history news and documentaries. war is dirty. it's a filthy job. but the IDF is the cleanest army i know, and my comparison is based on facts.

i was a captain in the israeli army for 4 years. i served near ramallah. so whenever people make accusations against the IDF i think: it could have been me! i could have been there doing that job. i know the mentality of the IDF and how they operate. still despite all the accusations the lies and the tragedies, i think the job they do is almost impossible. I am grateful that the israelies have not lost their cool yet ! it can still happen, and it did in 1948. ( at that stage of the war 1/10 israelies already died ) that's equivalent to 25 million americans. (and this is just after 6 million died by the germans and other none sympathisers...)

israel is the US best allied, and the money paid to support israeli defence is money well spent. there is more inteligence and millitary cooperation between the US and israel than with any other nation. israel is a friend, and it's a friend in trouble. any help is welcome, no dirt in the face please. and please do not let yourselve be mislead away from the core issue. the core issue is still the same: Islamic fundamentalism.

your faithfully

xxxx
