We need not be blind. Behold in the Bushites the face of facism, a form of organized crime, a bunch of lying thugs, the expression of America’s darkest side, a cruel lust for power.
See it for what it is.
We need not be afraid. Plug into the forces of righteousness and you will see what are the tools at hand to carry the fight to the Bushites. There are strategies that can work.
Puzzling combination, that the anti-Bushite forces in Congress do make a push against the Bushites. But, when push comes to shove, they also (almost) always ultimately back down.
Why that pattern? Why this charging forth and poking at the beast but then retreating when it turns to bite? Is this about the realities of power --a kind of prudence in the face of a true threat-- or is the retreating a kind of cowardice, where a battle is lost that could have been won?
And if it IS a spiritual kind of a failing, not dictated by the true correlation of forces, what is the spiritual failing in America that results in the American system not being stronger in defending itself against this Bushite violation? What is amiss with heart and eye and hand, that the system has not won the battle against evil that it COULD were it coming from the right spirit?
There are strategies a whole lot better than the feint and then back down pattern of the Democrats in Congress. Better than moving to confrontation, then backing down.
But perhaps the Democrats --and perhaps more broadly, America-- has to be in a different spiritual condition for those strategic paths to become visible, and to appear to the eye as the necessary and right way to go.
