And I know it’s been beaten to death, but…

“Monica.” Did you really need to prove your enemies right? I was 17 years old when that scandal started, and I didn’t care, but everyone else on the “Phony Outrage” side seemed to. I never thought you were going to be forced out of office, but it was an embarrassing year or so. You were impeached and lost your law license. Too much was made of this, but it’s there. It’s not going away. All that wasted time trying to deal with this scandal.

And don’t get me wrong, I like those bumper stickers that say, “Clinton ruined a dress, Bush ruined a country.” But what if you hadn’t ruined that dress? What if you had ruined less than you fixed? What if you had just been the Kennedy-esque figure you wanted to be (though I’m sure Kennedy also ruined his fair share of dresses, he was just discreet about it)? What if you had actually been a liberal and not just played one on TV for two years before the Republicans took over congress?

On Bill Maher last week, he said he heard Rupert Murdoch had already compiled a list of the women you’ve slept with over the “last few years.”

There’s too much baggage, and you don’t really have a legacy, besides not being Bush.

All the false accusations against Senator Obama, all the race-baiting, all the “fairy tales”, it’s just getting bad. No one wants to listen to you anymore. You had your chance, and you acted like Republican. Did I say acted? I meant act.

And really, no one likes Hillary. Some people can stand her. You never got a majority of votes and people genuinely liked you. How is she supposed to get over 50 percent?

Senator Obama was right when he said Reagan was a change-maker. He got Americans to vote against their economics, and he made being conservative, at least to some people, “cool.” Reagan was a terrible president and had to have hated much of this country considering what he did to it, but he got Democrats to vote for him in 1980 because he represented a complete change from the previous 16 years. Obama wants to be the man Reagan was, albeit the complete opposite. He wants to be what you, Mr. Clinton, could have – should have! – been, but weren’t.

You’ve got to consider reality. Reagan left office in 1989. In 2008, Republicans are looking for the next Reagan to save themselves. Do you really think the Democrats of 2022 are going to be looking to see who can be the next Clinton? Someone who played it safe, compromised, and still got slandered around every corner? Someone whose only liberal accomplishments are upholding a woman’s right to choose and appointing liberal judges, while keeping his liberal vice president from the highest office since the opposition was able to play the “moral values” card back in 2000? Someone who, and I cringe to say this, is single-handedly responsible for the successes of Rush Limbaugh and Ann Counter?
