The first year he was hired as a full time, high school science teacher found him sponsoring the Special Olympic team from his school. And it is no wonder that his teachers and community helped surprise him with a Milken National Educator Award!

At another Special Olympics celebrated, I spotted a principal from Ardmore, Oklahoma. I couldn’t believe it.
“Are you here for the 3 days?|”
“Yep! I go where the action is,” he said. And me? I smiled.
It speaks volumes that Bush would not allow his Surgeon General to go to a Special Olympics because the Kennedys' started it - harsh reality. And I am glad that neither of his daugheters were retarded. There are people who say the are professionals, and there are those who really are professionals.
