If Clinton or Obama were to outright win the Democratic nomination, what would the media have to talk about? They have a combined couple of hundred million dollars in their war chests eager to be spent and that’s a lot of political advertising. Best to keep them around awhile.
The end result is that those with the most money get the most ink, the most airtime. Everything else takes a back seat. If the media giants want, they can flood the air with talk about Brittany’s custody hearing, whether the most important part of Roger Clemens’ anatomy is his ass or his right arm, or some governor stupid enough to pay $1500 for a hooker and get caught. At the same time, their reporters don’t even have to question why our FBI is conducting a sting operation on high priced hookers and not on Osama bin Laden, or whether our President is violating the rights of our citizens.
As a concerned citizen, I look forward to the media bringing these issues to the forefront and the candidates taking a stand on each.
Oh, there’s one other issue I’d like them to address, but won’t hold my breath: The Truth about 911.
