Just what would be the procedure by which those who attend these first-stage popular conventions around the country would distill their collective vision (or visions) about the desirable direction for America? Just what form would that distillation take, in terms of the selection of individuals and ideas to send to the next stage? How would people at that next stage distill further these selections, working to shape the personnel and the ideas toward a final convention and statement to the nation? What would be the rules at the final stage that would govern the shaping that statement, with its distribution of time and space to different points of view?

How would so ambitious a process be funded? And how would the manpower to run such an enterprise be enlisted?

Good solutions to these problems, I would wager, exist. And I expect there exist, too, people with the experience and insight to come up with those good solutions.

So, I hereby issue this invitation to my readers: if you like this idea, come to this site for a discussion.

Especially if you have ideas about how to take my nebulous ideas about design and process and flesh them out or clarify them or otherwise fashion them suitably to achieve the general goal, please post your ideas on this forum I have set up on my website. By means of such a conversation, one may hope, this baby might actually get off the ground.

It?s crazy enough it just might work.
