Im mad proud of Joe tonight. I really am. LMANIV African Americans for Barack Obama
from Marion, private: Even the highly questionable "Laffer Curve" theory shows times when there is a need to raise taxes. Even the "Laffer Curve" theory isn't as ~out there~ as President G W Bush has been these past years, and as Senator John McCain promises to be for another four or more if he's given the chance. I think even the "Laffer Curve" authors and experts would agree that at this time, cutting taxes is going to shove revenue into the dirt. BIG TIME.
Oh Did I love this Debate :)!!!!!!
Celina of San Francisco for Obama: Yes she must be a nervous wreck ... Joe O'Biden - did anyone hear that?
And no Palin, you aren't so different from the flipping on issues in washington. Bridge to Nowhere ring any bells? jacksondeo of african americans for barack obama:She sounds incredibly rehearsed, to the point of sounding mechanical. She's so eager to get out the bit of information that she retained, that she redirects the question to what she feels she knows even when he as nothing to do with what was asked. She just isn't answering many of the questions. Biden is doing great! "I call that the ultimate bridge to nowhere." Classic! I agree she continues to study her chest sheets as Joe Biden talks.

Yes she has cheat sheets Joe is the winner. m of oregonians for obamaI think she started out OK but then went to the circular speak pretty quickly. And she just sounds so rehearsed; Joe sounds relaxed, sincere and SMART.
And I love how she brought up Bush on her own many times -- obviously she didn't get the memo that that association might not be such a great idea. Kelly of San Francisco for Obama
from Roger of Dallas Air America:
When she said she wished she could have more opportunities like this
to speak directly to the American people without going through the
filter of the press...WHY THE HELL DIDN'T HE ASK HER IF SHE WANTED TO
DEBATE AGAIN???? Instead he let her go home with the ball!!!!!
And again. It's not about who is or was right or wrong about
anything. Not in any way that get's swing votes. It's about trust.
Every time she makes a charge, it's not enough to show that she's
wrong by giving the Obama Biden side. He's got to call attention to
the fact that she's INTENTIONALLY wrong, distorting, misrepresenting,
taking things out of context. Only once and only briefly did he call
attention to the fact that she changed the subject to taxes, when she
had no rebuttsl to something implied in his remarks.
He deinitely should have parodied that. "It's like the old cheer.
When we say health care, they say taxes. When we say regulation they
say, taxes. When we say Iraq was a mistake, they say taxes. Look
I've showed you who wants to tax who. How long do they think they
can keep playing that tax and spend card. the Republican party has
engineered the biggest deficit in the history of this county."
The short rebuttal to Palin's obfuscation about Gen. McAllen saying
the surge wouldn't work in Afganistan was not to say "Yes he did."
The effective emotive rebuttal is " You can shape this whatever way
you want Governor, but how are you going to get around the fact that
he used the word "SURGE" in saying what wouldn't work. Only the
McCain Palin ticket could find wiggle room in something like that."
I know it's hard. I know it's like getting Wheel of Fortune alot
easier when your home than up there. But I'm still disappointed
again. I think these guys need one o' them transmitter-receiver
thingy's Bush wore under his suit in those debates.
But I "betcha" one thing. This weekend Tina's going to be using the
word "blender" (blunder) somewhere, and one other odd pronounciation
I wish I could remember right now.

Sarah is a fine debater. They both seem to be enjoying it, rather
than that "pursed lips" look other debates have had. from Laci Election____2008
