It would seem that the best option for NATO would be to, once again, revert to its original charter; that being the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, dedicated to safeguarding the security of Europe against any foreign intrusion. These nations do not need the involvement of the U.S. and they absolutely need to discontinue engaging in military conflicts around the world. If they want to restore stability to their economies and solve the financial crises that they face, this is the direction that they should strongly consider.
