If you think Adam Lanza is something out of the ordinary then you need to look more comprehensively at the whole picture of this dying patriarchal cultural ethic. People like Adam Lanza are my whole family. There were originally ten of us. I am glad to say that half of us are now graduated past this life experience. It is not a horror to die. It is a horror to be a person infused with a cultural ethic that alienates all but a few on a planet rich with a multitude of forms of life as varied as can be. God loves and creates diversity. But the western world hates it. It loves the few over the many with license to kill. Governmental religious corporate license to kill. We do it constantly in this western world and we have a media that makes it invisible. We other it and let the rest of the world suffer and our news stories dress it up if it even gets through. We do not know a fraction of what our culture does abroad every day in numbers that make the Adam Lanza killing look like nothing. Occasionally it happens right under our noses and we think it is out of the ordinary. As a person who first grew up in a very dysfunctional family of many suicides and then lived on the street as a street person and later came to be a writer on opednews.com who has read that this whole thing is planet-wide ... this whole thing seems very ordinary.
