Think for a moment on the gravity of this.   We are talking about our letting go to a way of living and perceiving the world while allowing a new world to emerge.   The old world has to end for the new to begin.   Are you ready for the task?   Or are you still stuck in the mainstream philosophy of never ending growth and dependence on a system that basically wants to use you and your loved ones for its own profit.   If you have or plan to have children, is this what you want for them?

The Native Americans always looked at the effects of a decision to the 7th generation.   What do you see as the effects of what we are doing today on those future children of ours? Are we ready to change for their sake?   Or do we remain caught in the "me" generation inherent in the greed driven philosophy of the Reagan years?

For the human race to evolve, we simply have to get past ourselves.   Perhaps the message to the Scriptures is that simple?   As we began this article, we shall end it with Meister Eckhart who says, "But if that birth does not pertain to me, then what avails it?"    Christmas is coming up.   This is the time when the Sun is at the nadir of its decline.   Is it time to start moving towards spring?   It's in our hands.   As the Good Witch says to Dorothy, "My dear, you've had the power all along to get back to Kansas!"
