McChrystal gave more than one odd statement; why would he make such an odd statement before going to a French Dinner even if he didn't really want to go? It is said that he said," "I'd rather have my ass kicked by a roomful of people than go out to this dinner," McChrystal says. He pauses a beat.

With that, he's out the door.
