JB: If it's count time, they interrupt the visitors' hours to count the prisoners?

JW: Yes, because they have to concentrate and really focus on counting, they stop letting visitors come in for about 2 hours.

JB: So in reality, visitors' hours are between 8am-3pm, minus an hour and a half for count time?

JW: I've never been there when they have called any prisoner before 9:00, and remember from our previous discussions, their clocks have their own unique time, usually 10-15 minutes ahead of real time, so the best families and prisoners can hope for is maybe 9:00 until 2:45, or if you don't make the 9:00 "count" cut-off, around noon until 2:45.  I arrived a little before 10:30, about the time they start back after "counting."

JB: It doesn't make any sense whatsoever.  But please continue with your story.

JW: When I got out of my car, I stepped onto the grass immediately next to my car intending to walk in the most direct path to the entry door.  At that time, however, one of the thug employees yelled at me:  "GET OFF THE GRASS!"  "Why?" I asked.  He yelled at me again, telling me to get off the grass, as I just stood there beside my car.  Again, I asked why.  There used to be a "keep off the grass" sign, but after you and I discussed in a previous interview, the hypocrisy of all the prison employees walking across the grass even as they yelled at children playing on the grass while waiting to visit, and other visitors who walked across the grass as all the prison employees do, the sign was taken down.  Since that time, both prison employees and visitors have walked across the grass with no consequences.  The thug employee then yelled at me that no one is allowed to walk on the grass.  I stated that there was no sign, that it had been taken down, and that every time I have visited, I have seen all the prison employees walk across the grass.  My specific statement was, "Every time I come, I see 20 prison employees walk on the grass."  To be clear, from the time the thug employee first yelled at me, I had not walked on the grass.

As I stepped onto the sidewalk and began walking, Thug yelled, YOU CAN'T COME IN HERE - IT'S COUNT TIME - YOU'RE WASTING YOUR TIME WALKING DOWN HERE.  And to remind you, I am handicapped, and I needed rather urgently to visit the restroom, plus the other visitors had entered, all indicating I was being treated disparately and wrongfully, in violation of several federal laws and the US Constitution.

Thug was waiting for me when I got to the door and again yelled at me that I could not come inside.  "I need to go to the bathroom, and other visitors have been allowed to come inside," I stated as I pointed toward the other visitors who were standing inside, to which he responded angrily, "I don't know who you are - give me your ID."  I asked why he wanted my ID and told him I just needed to go to the bathroom and I would return to my car.  Again, he demanded my ID, so I asked him his name and whether he had taken the IDs of the other visitors who came inside.  "Sissell, S-I-S-S-E-L-L," he spelled it for me.  "Thank you, I will be filing an internal affairs complaint and contacting the duty officer to complain about your abuse of me," I said.  He turned and rushed to the desk, picked up the phone and demanded to speak with the operations lieutenant.  I asked the prison employee at the desk, Ms. Cleaves, if I could use the restroom; she said yes.  While I was in the restroom, there was a knock on the door and when I exited a moment later, there were two other visitors waiting to enter the restroom, visitors that had entered the building after I had but without their IDs being taken.  As I was leaving to return to my car, I asked the woman I first saw entering with the man and child when I arrived whether her ID had been asked for or taken; she said no.
