Could it be that we can envision and cultivate community schools while moving beyond corporate based ones? Can we foster true educational measures of success that is not about teaching to standardized tests? Can we also remember the true meaning of education as to bring forth? Bring forth what? It's about bringing forth the child's potential of spirit, mind and body.
Evolution is from the inside out, from center to periphery in relationship to the environment and not an assembly line of top-down controllers. Our children's inner worlds are theirs, not corporations. Their forcing standardized modes of education are a form of rape. Like vampires sucking the blood of a maiden, they drain us dry of intelligence, money and meaningful relationships. They do it to the land, they do it to workers, and they do it to our children. When do we say, "no more!"
While Dapo and Coleen may not be voicing the same objectives and observations as I am outlining, I believe in action they are. They are doing in locality what I am doing and saying on the web and in my writings. In all our diversities, we are creating a new world anchored in unity. E Pluribus Unim, In the Many One, will then be seen as Truth and not as a corporate joke.
